About

We-Build Forward

Buildings, not just reinforced concrete, are the structures that built the city, a valuable asset of Hong Kong. In the past 25 years, with the completion of one new public architecture after another, it has witnessed the glorious history of the establishment of the HKSAR and told a living story to generations.

Older generations have “set the scene”, made selfless contributions, building the city with iconic architectures that tell the Hong Kong story.

The New Chapter of Hong Kong to continue to “build the scene" and give the city of 7.5 million a fresh start. This begins with re-establishing connections and letting the past's tangible and intangible memories touch people's hearts.

Let the next generation “bring the scene to its peak" and develop our city into a new age. Together, we can pass on our collective memories and inspire our younger generation to thrive at our home.

Creating architecture that can stand the test of time has been of great importance to Hong Kong, and it is the mission of the Architectural Services Department to continue this mission. New architecture brings new value into old buildings, closely links the lives of each generation, and builds social cohesion in Hong Kong and a solid foundation for the next chapter.
