Preventive Maintenance

Preventive maintenance is one of the maintenance strategies that aims at taking regular and appropriate inspections and maintenance activities before the occurrence of any breakdown or failure of a building element or system. Also, it would keep systems in buildings operating at optimum efficiencies and prolong their service life. A building will continue to function properly with a well-planned, on-going preventive maintenance program.

The following activities are often included in a preventive maintenance program:

  2. Routine cleaning, lubricating and calibrating of passenger lift
