Band 3 Architectural Consultants
For the purpose of enhancing the job opportunities of medium/small architectural firms that are not included in the List of Consultants of AACSB in undertaking minor public and private works projects, ´The Association of Architectural Practices Ltd. (AAP)´ and ´The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA)´ have undertaken to compile, maintain and provide separately the List of Band 3 Architectural Consultants [Band 3 List] based on the following admission criteria:
- All the current Members of The Association of Architectural Practices Ltd. (AAP) and Registered Practices of The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) that have expressed interest to join this Band 3 List. However, firms that are currently included in either Band 1 or 2 under the architectural category of the List of Consultants of AACSB are not eligible for inclusion in the Band 3 List.

For AAP, at least one of the full time resident staff of the firm is a qualified architect* and one of the full time resident staff (who may be the same person as the qualified architect) is an Authorized Person under the list of architects, list of engineers or list of surveyors in the authorized persons´ register.

For HKIA, at least one of the full time resident principal/director of the firm is a qualified architect* who must also be an Authorized Person (List of Architects).
[Note: A qualified architect means Member or Fellow of the HKIA or a Registered Architect (Hong Kong) or an Authorized Person (List of Architects).]
List Management
AAP and HKIA are responsible for maintaining the membership in the Band 3 List and keep AACSB promptly informed of any change.
List of Band 3 Architectural Consultants
[Note: Non-AACSB consultants including architectural firms in Band 3 List are eligible to undertake consultancy services directly procured by the Government of a value not exceeding the quotation limit (currently HK$3 million) specified in Stores and Procurement Regulations (SPR)*.] *SPR does not apply to subvented projects.
